win gold medals in tennis
AMRITSAR,
NOVEMBER 28: The
Boys and Girls Tennis players from Spring Dale Senior School proved their
mettle in sports once again by bagging two gold and two bronze medals in Punjab
School State Tennis Tournament, held at SAS Nagar, Mohali.
Giving
details, Mr Sahiljit Singh Sandhu, Chairman, Spring Dale Educational Society,
said that the under-19 and the under-14 girls teams of the school bagged one
gold medal each in their respective categories in this event, while the
under-14 and under-19 boys teams of the school won one bronze medal each in
their respective categories.
He
added that budding tennis players Prabhleen Kaur and Punya Malhotra, both
students of the school, were a part of the under-19 girls’ team that won a gold
medal in the under-19 category, while Sukhman Kaur and Kavya Sanan were with
the under-14 girls’ team of the school, which won a gold medal in the under-14
category, in this event.
Mr
Sandhu maintained that the under-14 boys’ team included Aryan Arora, a budding
tennis player from the school, while Daksh Chhabra and Souren Khanna, both
aspiring tennis players from Spring Dale Senior School were a part of the
under-19 boys’ team of the school that participated in this event.
“These
teams won one bronze medal each in their respective categories. The school is
proud of their achievements,” he said. Congratulating the winners, Mr Rajiv
Kumar Sharma, Principal, said, “The achievements of our students in sports
testify to the excellent sports coaching
imparted in the school.”
